A2A for Enterprises

Adopting agent-to-agent communication in organisations: governance, catalogues, security and rollout.

Editorial team 1 min read

Enterprises often end up with many agents built by different teams on different platforms. A2A offers a way to connect them under control.

Governance

  • Agent registry: a catalogue of approved agents, their owners and skills.
  • Standards: required authentication, logging and data handling for any agent joining the network.
  • Review process: security and privacy review before agents are exposed.

Identity and Access

Integrate with corporate identity so every delegation carries who it's on behalf of, and agents apply that person's permissions.

Data Boundaries

Classify what data each agent may receive. Keep sensitive data within the agents authorised to handle it.

Rollout

  • Start with internal, low-risk workflows.
  • Add approval steps for actions.
  • Expand to cross-department and external agents as confidence grows.

Vendor Agents

Many software vendors are adding agents to their products. A2A may let your agents delegate to them; assess each vendor's security and data practices.

Measure

Track adoption, task success, time saved and incidents to guide investment.
